Ian took up Morris dancing as a result of his theatrical interests, where it was necessary to learn how to dance in order to play the part in a local production. He soon learnt that it was as much fun to do this as it was to be a thespian.

Ian is desperate to get the steps right and keeps a small notebook summarising the main features of each tradition in his back pocket. Interestingly, some of us remember doing the same thing.
